The Avatar has been the savior of the world countless times and is generally looked upon for guidance. The years of Avatar Aang are history, his life having come to end two centuries ago. The time after defeating Fire Lord Souzen was more or less peaceful, the Fire Nation having followed the example left behind by Fire Lord Zuko. A strong alliance was kept between them all and the world was a prosperous place for all to live. The Southern Water Tribe was rebuilt and the amount of water benders there began go flourish once again. Airbenders that had gone into hiding after the war then resurfaced and returned the temples to their former glory.

But things can't stay still for long.

The previous Chief of the Northern Water Tribe failed to pick a successor before his untimely death. The stronger of the water tribes was thrown into turmoil and slight chaos without a anyone to lead them, which allowed corruption to begin growing its roots. The process used to pick who would lead the breaking tribe was less than unorthodox, it hardly even existed. This allowed for a powerful and determined chief to take over, one that gained the position by using the fear and uncertainty of the tribe. Being the usual peaceful leader was definitely something that this person was not planning to do, their objective is far greater than that.

A new evil shadows the old.

During the whole Chief crisis, the Fire Lord began to stir old conflicts. It started with small things such as building up their army and quickly snowballed into claiming new land for the Fire Nation. The public's eye was more troubled by this than the events going on to the north, a possible war breaking out seemed to be a much more pressing issue. Soon after the new Chief took power, an alliance was formed between the Fire Nation and Northern Water Tribe.

The world is thrust into chaos once more.

The Earth Kingdom, Air Nomads, and Southern Water Tribe still hold loose alliances, although suspicions have risen and the once strong trust they all shared has been weakened. With two of their allies suddenly turning their backs on the rest, how could they not think that it was possible for another to do the same? When they need to be strong, weakness in their bonds arose. Will they be able to pull things together before everything falls apart? There were two major forces that formed together to make a formidable foe; would the evil be too strong to defeat?
